Life teaches you to expect the unexpected. In 2016 I began feeling prompted to buy a small home in Heber City, Utah. Never did I imagine we would end up moving there!
I found our Heber City home online. It was advertised as a 3 bedroom, 2400 sq. foot Ivory Homes Model. When we arrived and found out it was actually 6 bedrooms + 4,418 sq. feet, had a 3 car garage, AND a fully built out basement, we bought it on the spot. We then closed in 10 days and had our first SECOND home!

It was pretty exciting for us as a family. Sometimes you get to a point in life where you're debt-free + need to start investing for the future. My thought was, 'Why invest in the stock market where we can own a piece of paper? Why not invest in something we can actually ENJOY whether the market goes up or down?' Hence the decision to purchase a second home... May not have been the brightest rational, but it worked for us! What started as an empty house, was ultimately furnished + accessorized to become a home. After 4 years we sold it for a sizable profit, but it still holds a very special place in our hearts!
